Youtube has changed their policy on music that has been included with video submission. It appears that Youtube has begun to mute the audio of videos that have been submitted using audio tracks that have not met all copyright requirements. This is a major change for Youtube and will no doubt cause ripples within the Youtube user community. You will notice that a large number of videos are now without sound and include a notice displayed with the video indicating that reads: This video contains an audio track that has not been authorized by all copyright holders.

Videos can still be submitted without music or you can utilize the free service that Youtube provides, which by the way now has an expanded music list. Apparently Youtube saw the wisdom in working a new arrangement with RumbleFish to expand their library of music tracks that Youtube video account holders can pull from. The only caviat. Once you swap the original audio track on your video using Youtube's free service, Google can and does run content ads on your video while it's being viewed. These content ads follow the video to Facebook and other sites that you may have linked your Youtube videos to. Google is likely going to see some nice revenue gains from this latest move. Advertisers are going to be excited about getting their brand names in front of so many users. The bet by Youtube and Google is, the Youtube user community will accept the change.

Give Google credit for a very smart marketing move. In the end, there is an option available on the video that allows you to click the ads off. I suspect knowing the Youtube community, many will hit the "X" option and close the ads out while they enjoy the video.

Check out this link on Youtube to see how the new Content ad option is working. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNfANTUC5AA)

Flyline Search Marketing CEO, Mark Lein, will be conducting a private Internet Marketing Strategy session for a distinguished group of Atlanta business leaders. The session will last an hour and a half and is being conducted at the Druid Hills Country Club on March 31, 2010. Flyline Search Marketing President, Pam Russom, will be conducting a similar Internet Marketing seminar on March 23, 2010 for a group of Christian business owners in the Albuquerque, New Mexico area. Her presentation is scheduled for Tuesday, March 23rd at 11:00 am at the Koinonia Coffee House in Albuquerque, NM. (http://www.koinonianm.com/). Flyline Search Marketing offers free Internet Marketing seminars for business groups in the Atlanta, Georgia and Albuquerque, New Mexico metropolitan areas.

Mr Lein's will be speaking extensively around Internet Marketing Strategy Development. His topics include: web site development, search engine marketing, search engine optimization, social media marketing, blogging, press releases and more. Mrs. Russom will be presenting the first in a series of Internet Marketing discussions to Believer’s in Business (BIB). This council is an established Christian business owners networking and business development group. BIB has over 40 members in the Albuquerque, New Mexico area and meets twice monthly. Membership is open to all Christian business owners. BIB membership contact is Mark Looper 505-363-6277.

The specific topic for the March 23, 2010 session is “Your website the lead machine”. The presentation will emphasize the need for building and maintaining a professionally designed website or as well like to refer to them "Your Online Store Front." Attendees will be introduced to the four critical elements of successful web site design. 1) Site Archtectue - Source Code 2) Content Strategy and Development 3) The Visual Reference Area, Site Navigation and Client Usability and 4) The Importance of your Sales Message, your Graphics and the overall Aesthetics.

Think of your web site as your online store front. Just like any department store you've ever walked into, what was your first impression? If it was postive, you likely have been back. If it was negative you likely never shopped there again. The Internet has made it easier than ever to simply walk out and never return. You have to make that all important connection with the client and not just on your home page. Unlike the traditional store front with one main entry way, your web site has many pages. Every single page is a doorway to your business with which prospective clients may enter. The average web site visitor stays on a site less than 8 seconds on average, unless something on that site draws them in. A first impression has never been so important!

Attendance at these sessions is free to BIB members. If you wish to attend please contact Mark Looper 505-363-6277 oldshepmark@gmail.com. If you are not a BIB member, but are interested in contacting Pam about conducting similar Internet Marketing seminars for your firm or group, please contact her at 505-328-4321 or email her at Pam@FlylineSearchMarketing.com.
